Program Officer, Quality Improvement

  • Support general practice to drive quality improvement and improve patient outcomes.
  • Part-time (0.8 FTE), maximum term until 23 July 2027
  • Remuneration: Band 3 - $76,181.39 - $92.112.86 + 12% superannuation

The Program Officer, Quality Improvement will play a key role in working in a planned, proactive and accountable way to enable general practice to deliver quality care by implementing quality improvements and relevant health reform projects.

You will be the primary point of contact between practice and PHN.

As the relationship manager, you will work collaboratively by engaging with stakeholders as you build ongoing relationships by implementing quality improvement activities.

A typical week may include:

  • Maintaining high performing working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, to deliver outcomes within services and programs.
  • Contract management for service providers, education and training providers or general practices.
  • Coaching practice teams to use and embed quality improvement tools and methods within general practice.
  • Collaborating and integrating activities across the organisation to achieve shared goals and enhance general practice engagement and relationships.

About you:

  • Qualifications and relevant experience in public or not for profit sector, primary health care or health care.
  • Project management experience - experience in scoping, planning, monitoring, and reporting on projects.
  • Demonstrated capability for quality written communication, including the preparation of external communications and reports to a professional standard.
  • Demonstrated relationship management skills including the ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative partnerships and to work with all levels within the workplace.
  • Demonstrated understanding of using and interpreting data to guide improvement.
  • Ability and competence in the use of technology and a variety of software systems, including competency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Victorian Working with Children's Check and National Police Check.
