Program Support Officer, Workforce Development
- Opportunity to support and strengthen the primary health care workforce through the delivery of high-quality education and professional development initiatives.
- Full-time (1.0 FTE), maximum-term role until 02 October 2026
- Remuneration: Band 2 - $64,462.86 - $73,325.34 + 12% superannuation

About the role
The Program Support Officer, Workforce Development supports the coordination and delivery of education and professional development initiatives for the primary health care workforce across North Western Melbourne.
As part of the Workforce Development team within the Health Systems Integration business unit, you will support access to high-quality continuing professional development (CPD), networking events and capacity-building initiatives for health professionals. You will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate education activities, support workforce planning and contribute to projects that strengthen primary care capability.

A typical week may include:
- Coordinating the planning, marketing, registration and delivery of CPD and networking events
- Ensuring educational activities are accessible through multiple formats, including webinars, online learning and regional events
- Managing the administration of CPD, including calendars, reporting, accreditation requirements and data capture
- Supporting the development of resources for primary care
- Supporting project teams using project management approaches
- Engaging with internal staff and external stakeholders to support capability building across primary care
- Collecting and analysing feedback and outcomes data to inform future planning and improvement
- Contributing to workforce development initiatives and projects aligned with NWMPHN priorities
About you:
- Qualifications or relevant experience in events management, education/training or a related field
- Current driver's license and own a vehicle to travel to locations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively both verbally and in writing
- Proficient in the use of technology, systems and digital platforms.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating events, training or professional development
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing competing priorities
Desirable
- Experience in healthcare and/or understanding of the primary care system
- Experience developing high quality training materials
- RACGP Education Activity Representative status
